What is a Microporous Cool Suit?
Feb 08, 2023
Comfort is a safety problem, especially for protective clothing compared with other type of PPE. Because uncomfortable protective clothing can't be worn correctly, the users may unfasten zips, tear holes in the back, just to gain a little comfort. However, risks means accident.
Breath-ability of the suit has the biggest influence on comfort: the ability of clothing to allow air in and out. HEALEECARE's Microporous Cool Suit is designed to solve the comfortable problem, using unique innovative design, so that some air can go though smoothly.
Simple ideas are often the best, the cool-suit design is no exception. Chemical suits cover the whole body, but walking in the factory, you will notice that in places where pollution occurs and where pollution is visible, it is only limited to the legs, arms and front of the body in most situations, you will rarely see contamination on the back of clothing. This shows that for most of the applications, the main basic is to protect the front, arms and legs of the body. This allows for some flexibility on the back design of the suit where some breath-ability can be introduced.
HEALEECARE has two styles of Type 5/6 Microporous Cool Suit WLO3006 with full SMS rear back and WLO3007 with triangle SMS back. The comfort is unmatched by other protective clothing and does not have an unacceptable impact on safety.

European CE standards identify five different types of chemical protective clothing. Liquid protection is defined by Types 3, 4 and 6. Whole suit testing for these Types involve the chemical suit entering a spray cabin and being subjected to different liquid sprays according to the type.
Type 6: Light aerosol Spray
Type 4: Spray Tight
Type 3: Liquid Tight
Cool suits are available and suitable for most Type 6 and many Type 4 applications, but generally not for Type 3. HEALEECARE provides a choice to improve the comfort level for those users. The key is to understand the application and make sure the cool suit is a safe option. Of course, if you are not sure the exact requirements of the PPE to protect against workplace hazards, the best solution is “ the highest level of protection if possible”.
