How to do pesticides production protection?
Feb 10, 2023
Pesticides production is one of the industries with serious occupational hazards, which is aggravated by the discontinuity of production and backward process equipment. Through our survey shows that poisoning, fire, explosion is the main hazard. Due to the variety of pesticide category, the production process involves a wide range of unit reaction process and unit operation process. All chemical unit reactions such as chlorination, oxidation, reduction, nitrification, ammonification, sulfonation, disproportionation and unit operations such as reaction operation, extraction, extraction, distillation, separation, condensation, drying are all involved, it has continuous productions (such as phosgene productions), and more intermittent production, in addition, the raw materials and intermediates used in pesticide production are mostly toxic and flammable, so it has a high risk.
[Body Protection] Production process is prone to flammable material leakage, especially gas and vapor leakage, can cause explosion, such as yellow phosphorus, the ignition temperature is very low, it will spontaneously ignite in the air. Carbon monoxide, methanol, ethanol, benzene and some other chemical components can form an explosive mixture with the air; Improper control in the process of intermediate synthesis and pesticide synthesis will make the reaction out of control or form substances easy to decompose and explode, causing chemical explosions. For example, if chlorine is too much in the production of phosphorus trichloride, it will generate phosphorus pentachloride which is easy to decompose and explode. Once the synthesis of intermediates such as dichlorophosphate, sulfur trichloride, methyl or ethyl chloride, methyl or ethyl sulfide is out of control, it will also explode. Alkyl chlorides and sulfides are inherently unstable and prone to decomposition and explosion.
[Respiratory Protection] All pesticide raw materials, intermediates and finished products have varying degrees of toxicity. In the process of production, acute poisoning is caused by leakage, some are caused by the improper maintenance procedure or misusing personal protective equipments. The poisoning types can be divided into: organophosphorus pesticide poisoning, carbamate pesticide poisoning, pyrethroid pesticide poisoning, yellow phosphorus poisoning, phosgenetic poisoning, methyl isocyanate poisoning. In order to prevent the occurrence of poisoning, it is necessary to wear anti-gas equipment during operation.
[Hand Protection] In terms of pesticides, the harm to human body is very serious. Pesticides mainly enter human body through three ways: one is accidental contact, such as accidental ingestion; Second, long-term exposure to a certain amount of pesticides, such as pesticide factory workers and users of farmers; Third, daily exposure to residues of pesticides in the environment and food. It can be seen that long-term exposure to pesticides or Inhaled pesticide can cause continuous accumulation of pesticides in the body, posing a potential threat to human health. Therefore, insulation measures must be taken with pesticides.
